Dr. Shibu Varughese graduated from St. John's University in 1995 with a Baccalaureate in Pharmacy, cum laude. He then went on to pursue his Medical Degree at the Ross University School of Medicine and graduated with high honors in 2006. Following that he did his Post Graduate internship & residency in Internal Medicine and Post Doctorate in Geriatric Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Weston, Florida. He joined Louisianan State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2010 and completed Post Doctorate Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Medicine, and Oncology. Currently, he has membership in multiple medical societies including American Medical Association (AMA), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO),and American Society of Hematologists (ASH).
Dr. Amy Varughese graduated from Government College of Homeopathic Medicine, India in 1999 and went on to pursue further medical education. She graduated from Ross University School of Medicine with high honors in 2007. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, Weston, Florida in 2010, and went on to complete a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She is a member of American Diabetes Association, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association (AMA), and Endocrine Society,
Maria Ramos received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1978 from University of Philippines School of Nursing. She has worked as a registered nurse for more than 20 years. In 1998, Ms. Ramos received her master’s in science in Nursing as a family Nurse Practitioner from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, School of Nursing in May 1998. She is board certified by American Academy of Nurse Practitioner since 1998. She has worked in Endocrinology as a Nurse Practitioner in the New Orleans Metropolitan area for more than 10 years. She joined Bethesda Medical Clinic in Jan 2019. She is currently a member of American Nurses Association.
Krystal Gettys graduated from St. Clair Community College in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, magna cum laude. She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science degree at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona in Nursing, summa cum laude in 2015. In 2018, Krystal pursued her Master of Science degree with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner from Herzing University in Madison, Wisconsin, graduating in 2019, summa cum laude. Krystal is board certified in Family Practice and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses. Krystal has over 9 years of Neuroscience nursing experience and most recently lead the Tulane University Health System Comprehensive Stroke Program. She is ENLS certified, Stroke Certified, and specializes in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Primary Care.
