In Geriatric medicine we focus on adults who are 65 years or older, providing comprehensive medical services in a safe, friendly and efficient environment.
We provide consultation and specialized care for adult endocrine disorders through a multi-disciplinary approach involving physicians, nutritionists and diabetic educators for the optimum health of our patients. We provide nutrition classes for diabetes, including medical nutrition therapy andobesity. Our patient training services include insulin pump, V-Go and continuous glucose monitoring.
We provide consultation services and treatments for non-cancerous and cancerous blood disorders including bleeding & clotting disorders, chronic leukemia (blood cancer), Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (cancer of lymph nodes) and multiple myeloma.
We provide consultation services and treatments of cancers of solid organs and supportive systems including brain, head & neck, lung, stomach, pancreas, small intestine, colon, breast, ovaries, uterus, kidney, prostate and bladder as well as sarcoma or melanoma.

Dr. Shibu Varughese graduated from St John's University in 1995, Baccalaureate in Pharmacy cum laude. He then went on to pursue his Medical Degree at the Ross University school of Medicine and graduated with high honors in 2006. Following that he did his Post Graduate Internship & Residency in Internal Medicine and Post Doctorate in Geriatric Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Weston, Florida. He joined Louisianan State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans in 2010 and completed Post Doctorate Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Medicine. He is board eligible for Hematology and Oncology. Currently he has membership in multiple medical societies including American Medical Association (AMA), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) and American Society of Hematologists (ASH).

Dr Amy Varughese graduated from Ross University School of Medicine with high honors in 2007. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Cleveland clinic, Florida in 2010 and went on to complete a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and board eligible for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She is a member of American Diabetes Association, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association (AMA), Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist.
